2. Overview

This website (FranciscoMatzke.com) is a personal video portfolio. It has no user registration, no accounts, no cookies, no analytics tools, and no third-party tracking or advertising services. The only functions available are:

  • Browsing static pages (Home, Portfolio, About Me, Contact, Costs)
  • Streaming self-hosted videos stored on Supabase (Frankfurt, Germany)
  • Opening a pre-filled email (mailto:) when clicking a cost package or the contact box, to send me a message from your own email client

No form data is transmitted to or stored on this website when you use the "Mail" buttons — your device simply opens your default email application. I only receive your message if you actually choose to send that email.

3. Hosting and Server Log Data

When you visit this website, technical information is automatically collected and temporarily stored by the hosting provider in server log files, as is standard for any website. This typically includes:

  • IP address (anonymized or shortened where technically possible)
  • Date and time of access
  • Browser type and version, operating system
  • The page/file requested and referring page

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical operation, security, and stability of the website).

Retention: Server logs are automatically deleted after a short period (typically 7–30 days), unless required longer for security investigation of a specific incident.

Note: This website is built and hosted via Lovable. Please confirm your current hosting provider/region with me so this section can name it precisely — if hosting occurs outside the EU/EEA, an additional international-transfer disclosure will be added here.

4. Video Streaming (Supabase)

Videos on this site are streamed directly from my own storage on Supabase, hosted in the Frankfurt (EU) region. No third-party video platforms (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo) are used, so no data is shared with such providers and no related cookies or embeds are set.

When you stream a video, your IP address and basic request data are technically processed by Supabase's infrastructure solely to deliver the video content to your device. Because the server location is within the EU, this does not constitute a transfer to a third country.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the portfolio and presenting my work).

Recipient: Supabase Inc., acting as my processor under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), EU (Frankfurt) region.

5. Contact via Email (mailto links)

The "Costs" page and the contact box on every page open a pre-addressed email (to franciscomatzke@gmail.com) in your own email client when clicked. No data is collected or stored on the website itself through this action.

If you choose to send that email, the content of your message (and any personal data you include, such as your name or email address) will be processed by me solely to respond to your inquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries), depending on the nature of your request.

Retention: Email correspondence is kept only as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and any follow-up, or as required by statutory retention obligations.

6. No Cookies, No Analytics, No Tracking

This website does not use cookies, web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics), tracking pixels, social media plugins, or advertising services of any kind. No behavioral profiles are created and no automated decision-making takes place.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data I hold about you (Art. 15)
  • Request rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
